The famous RG body shape has a stylish Foggy Black burst finish around the edges that contrasts beautifully with the finely grained maple top. The lack of position markers on the fretboard adds to the fresh, clean look. Hiding behind this elegant appearance, however, is a brutal powerhouse of a machine. Active EMG pickups and jumbo frets on the Wizard III neck make this guitar perfect for shredding. The Ibanez Iron Label series is geared towards metal styles. With the RGIX20FESM you get 'Looks that kill em all' to boot. Construction The beautiful maple top is not just for show. It provides an extra dimension to the balanced sound of the lightweight basswood body. Extra warmth is added to the overall tone by the rosewood fretboard on the 3-ply 24-fret neck. Sound is picked up by an EMG60 at the neck and an EMG81 at the bridge. These active pickups are a classic and popular combination used primarily in heavier types of music.
