Though
the original Stratocaster was first introduced more than 60 years ago,
it's unquestionably more popular now than ever. The Player Series
Stratocaster HSS combines the guitar's sleek, elegant lines with the
perfect blend of vintage and modern features. You start with the classic
comfort-contoured alder body, finished in gloss polyester and crowned
with a 3-ply parchment pickguard, and add to it a trio of Player Series
Alnico pickups and a fast, satin-backed, modern-playing maple neck.
Versatile HSS pickup configuration
The
Player Series Strat HSS is equipped for a wide range of musical styles,
from modern high gain to classic surf and country. Neck and middle
Alnico V single-coils deliver all the quack, spank, and sparkle you
expect from a Strat. Behind them, a moderate-gain Alnico II humbucker
adds chunk to rhythms and heat to leads.

keeping with contemporary player preferences, the Player Series

9.5"-radius fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets. The neck is finished
