The Fender Standard Jazz Bass Upgrade guitar is a popular, affordable
classic. On its early ’60s introduction, the Fender Jazz Bass guitar
immediately endeared itself to the music world, quickly becoming another
Fender design classic and an indispensable element in the arsenal of
many a bassist worldwide. The current model combines the greatest
features from classic models, alongside modern appointments, in order to
create a model that is better than ever before.

Classic design

The lean-and-mean Standard Jazz Bass incorporates many of the
original model’s classic Fender “firsts,” such as the effortlessly cool
offset waist. The body has been crafted using alder, a lightweight and
tonally balanced tonewood that is very generous with its low-end
delivery, which is carried through with a forceful punch, but cuts
through with enough high-end sparkle. The body has been finished in a
stunning Arctic White finish, which is protected by a slender layer of
polyester.

slim and fast neck

Fitted to the body is an ultra-slim, fast-action maple neck, shaped
to the comfortable to play modern "C" profile. Paired with the neck is a
sublime Pau Ferro fingerboard, which bears 20 medium-jumbo size frets -
spacious enough not to feel cumbersome, but never feels like too much
of a stretch between frets - that are adorned with white dot position
inlays. The maple/Pau Ferroneck and fingerboard partnership guarantees
that each and every note rings out with the utmost clarity through the
power of the alder. The neck has been treated to a tinted satin urethane
finish, preventing the build up of stickiness or tackiness, making it a
dream to glide along.

Versatile and dynamic

For a bass that is renowned for its versatility, it's surprising that
the electronics' setup consists of a standard single-coil Jazz Bass
pickup in the bridge position, and a single-coil Jazz Bass pickup in the
neck position. Each pickup has an individual volume pot, and a master
tone pot controls both pickups. Whether you're playing upbeat
dance-inspired riffs, heavy rock, punk, country - pretty much anything
you can imagine -, the Jazz Bass has you covered. Simply plug in and

Rock solid

The body is equipped with a 4-saddle standard vintage-style bridge
with single-groove saddles, creating a seamless connection between
strings and body. Not only does this create the perfect foundation for
optimising intonation and sustain, but ensures an anchored playing feel

tuning machines, which work tirelessly to maintain tuning integrity.

A High-gain Hollowbody Gretsch That Won't Break the Bank

The Gretsch G2420T Streamliner Hollowbody electric guitar was built
for players looking for an affordable archtop guitar that is as
comfortable offering the identifiable Gretsch sound as it is higher-gain
rock tones. The floating bridge and fully hollow construction are great
for sultry jazz tones. The two custom-wound Broad'Tron humbucking
pickups offer a powerful voice with balanced lows, mids, and highs. And a
Bigsby licensed B-60 vibrato gives the G2420T gloriously smooth pitch
control. The Gretsch G2420T Streamliner is a wonderful blend of
old-school personality and new-school tonality at an amazing value.

Classic Gretsch appointments

The G2420T Streamliner sticks close to what has made Gretsch guitars
look so desirable over the years. A pair of F-holes emphasizes the
guitar's voluptuous curves. The G2420T is also decorated with
vintage-looking, 2-ply white and black binding that wraps the entirety
of the instrument. And the nickel hardware, branded tailpiece, and
pearloid block inlays ensure the G2420T will look as great onstage as it
does hanging up in our Sweetwater retail store.

Vintage and modern tones

The G2420T Streamliner uses vintage-style construction and a modern
electronics package to deliver tones that will fit equally well with a
jazz trio as it will with a hard-rocking rockabilly band. The fully
hollow design adds warmth and roundness to the guitar's tone. But the
custom-wound Broad'Tron humbucking pickups are engineered to deliver
plenty of output that can easily put you into hard rock tonal territory.

Built with the player in mind

Gretsch's G2420T Streamliner Hollowbody plays and feels every bit as
good as it sounds. Its thin "U" neck profile is round enough that
chording remains comfortable in all positions, while being thin enough
to facilitate fleet-fingered runs. The full-size, single-cutaway
construction is comfortable against your body, and it gives you access
to the guitar's higher frets. The controls have even been thoughtfully
laid out to pull a wide range of tones from the guitar.
