Deskripsi This is a signature that is pretty interesting as there is a chance that you may have never heard of Mayday or their guitarist Monster. In South East Asia however Mayday or "King Of Concert" are a much loved alternative rock and mandopop band that have won awards year after year in their home of Taiwan. Based off the Les Paul played by their guitarist Monster 'Wen Shang-Yi' this guitar has everything you would expect out of a classic singlecut but with a new look not available anywhere else. The Tone Monster's tone is so classically smooth and bluesy that he had to use a Les Paul. The midrange is present but not overpowering with a sweet rolled off high end that gives it the versatility needed for mandopop tracks as well. This guitar really does deliver on this tone thanks to the quality Epiphone build and the use of Gibson USA Burstbucker pickups for a premium tone. Quality Build As this a Les Paul it follows the same build that has been in place since its inception. With a mahogany body topped with a AAA maple veneer and a mahogany neck finished with a rosewood fretboard this has the classic LP style we all love. To make sure Monster can still dig in deep for his leads the neck has been carved to a 1960 style SlimTaper D profile which is slim enough to solo on easily while still having substance to it. Burstbucker Pickups Gibson have always been searching for the perfect way to recreate the classic PAF tone. One of the pickups they came up with in this search is the Burstbucker. A tonally accurate but slightly hotter version of a classic PAF pickup made for those who like to add on a bit more gain to their sound. These are what are fitted to this guitar but with a twist. The neck pickup is uncovered while the bridge his covered. This makes a decent change to the tone as without the cover the neck position will sound that little bit hotter again perfect for when you need to burst out in to a screaming lead tone.
