Unlike many other drum mic "packages," the Samson Drum Mic 8Kit gives you all the mics you need to set up a standard drum kit for studio recording or stage miking. Eight quality mics, specially designed for snare, toms, cymbals and overheads, come packed in a rugged road case. And if you've used Samson mics on drums before, you know that they deliver a ton of punch and tone without overloading!
For overheads, two large diaphragm condensers
More and more drummers and engineers are turning to large diaphragm condenser mics for overhead drum setups. The 8Kit features two large diaphragm Samson C01 Condensers for the full-spectrum overhead imaging these mics provide. Three Q-Tom microphones are included, perfect for dynamic tom miking A Q-Snare is provided for precise snare drum miking with the "crack!" you need. The popular Q-Kick captures the low end attack of the bass drum without bottoming out. And a new C02H Mini Pencil Condenser Mic is ideal for hi-hat or ride cymbal.
No "Forest" of mic stands needed!
Sometimes you can't see the drums - or the drummer - for all the mic stands! Samson solves this problem by outfitting both their Q-Snare and Q-Tom mics with attached rim mount clips. these sturdy clips let you position the mics exactly as you want them without getting in the drummer's way.
