Its swamp ash body and distressed pickguard give a look of a battle-ready instrument, while its duet of Apocalypse humbucking pickups sounds just as ruthless. And the guitar's deep body contours, Ultra Access heel, and Schecter locking tuners prove Schecter's commitment to making high-quality, player-friendly instruments. Expect sonic intensity from the Apocalypse humbuckers onboard the PT Apocalypse. Alnico V magnets deliver a fast, aggressive sound with plenty of richness. The alnicos are flanked by ceramic magnets for top-end presence and articulation. You'll have an explosive tone with plenty of harmonic content, giving you lots of sound-shaping potential when you tweak the tone knobs on your amplifier and pedals. And to add an apocalyptic twist to their design, Schecter gave these pickups a translucent bobbin, allowing you to see the copper wire.
