The DWB35 is a five string solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2004. It is a signature model for American bassist Doug Wimbish who is known primarily for his work with the rock band Living Colour and his work with the seminal hip-hop outfit The Sugarhill Gang. It was produced in South Korea by Cort.
The DWB35 features neck through body construction with a maple and bubinga neck mated to ash wings in a shape based on the Soundgear series.
It has a 24-fret quartersawn bubinga fingerboard with pearl and abalone
oval position markers. Components include a pair of EMG active J-style
pickups, a custom 2-band preamp, an EB10 bridge with 17mm string
spacing, a brass nut and Hipshot open gear tuning machines.
