All Maple Shells
The
shells in the Tama SLP Drum Kit Studio Maple are made from maple and
feature Sound Focus Rings that are fitted inside the shells themselves.
As a result, you get incredibly focused sound with a warm, woody tone.
22mm thick maple wood hoops are also present, enhancing the warmth of
your tone while increasing the attack power - especially with rim shots.
Direct Flexi-Mount and Swivel-Wing Tom Holder
Featuring
a two-piece structure, the Direct-Flexi Mount onboard the Tama SLP
Studio Maple drum kit has a plate mounted to the shell along with
another piece that takes the L-Rod of a tom stand. Since these parts are
hinged together via a steel shaft, there is slight horizontal play when
you strike the drum.
As a result, you get great sustain and a nice,
smooth decay for a beautifully trasparent sound which really brings out
the maple's natural characteristcs.Furthermore, with the patented
"Swivel-Wing Tom Holder" design, you get great setup flexibility.
Incredibly natural sounding with tight attack and crisp performance.
