Classic Feel
There is a particular feel that most have come to expect with a Les
Paul. While other guitars focus on slimming down the neck and body to
allow for crazy stage play. Gibson instead really focus on giving you
the best sustain, tone and feel possible by putting a couple big old
chunks of Mahogany in your hands.
The body is made out of weight relieved Mahogany topped with stunning
AAA flamed maple that keeps all of the sustain of a regular block but
at a much lower weight. This means less back/shoulder pain and much more
time being able to spent playing your guitar.
The neck is traditional in every sense of the word. It features the
historic 1-11/16" neck width that can be found on all traditional Les
Pauls with a 24.75" scale length. It certainly is thick but never
uncomfortable something in the realm of slimmer 60's style neck finished
with a rosewood fretboard.
The Tones! Ok all of this talk about traditional
feel and features is great but it is the tone that really matters at
the end of the day. Gibson knows this so they have fitted this guitar
with a set of their amazing Burstbucker Pro pickups.
These pickups take the classic PAF pickups with their smooth low to
mid gain response and crank them up a notch. These are PAFs with
attitude. By using a new Alnico 5 magnet over the traditional Alnico 2
you get more bite, more attack and more gain with less noise. If you
need something that has a traditional tone but that can support higher
gain solos and chunky rhythms this is what you need.
The Hardware Inside But what about things like
tuning stability- Well This guitar may not have any kind of fancy tuning
system but what it does have is a set of killer hardware that has been
used for generations of Les Paul guitars.
The traditional stoptail bridge that has been used for as long as the
Les Paul has been around and Grover tuners mean you can rely on this
guitar in any gigging environment. Just turn up to your next gig, tune
up and get rocking nothing is going to let you down here.
Professional Set Up As part of the 2016 line
this guitar has received a premium set up even before it has gone

issues with the guitar at all.
No longer do you need to wait for a few days while you get your

possible so Gibson have made sure you can do just that.
