14x8 DW Collector's Series Maple Snare Drum (DRSO0814SSC) provides
drummers with a wide spectrum of sounds and tonal colors to complement
any style of music. From the warmth of maple to the bright, loud crack
of bronze and everywhere in between, DW snare drums are an essential
requirement in the studio or on stage. Go for the all-maple 6-ply shell
for a lower fundamental. A purposefully simple design, the Mag is a
workhorse drop throw-off with a horizontal tension adjustment and
smooth, easy-adjust action. It gets its name from a clever magnet that's
integrated into the body of the throw-off. When the handle is in the up
position, it won't release without a slight tug. Comes complete with
gasket and all mounting hardware. Hole pattern also fits DW Delta
throw-off. The innovative new 3P, three-position butt plate allows
drummers to easily select three distinct preselected snare wire tension
settings at the touch of a lever. It can be combined with just about any
brand snare throw-off and snare drum.
