Deskripsi Gibson 1959 Les Pauls will always be held in the highest regard as some of the best guitars ever made. When it was first released, it was an instant classic. There's an aura around them that captures the imagination and has inspired plenty of famous guitarists over the decades. The likes of Jimmy Page, Mike Bloomfield and Keith Richards all jumped on the bandwagon, and so should you.  Thankfully, Gibson have reintroduced the 1959 model and specs in a brand new custom shop build. This is closer to the original than ever before. The neck profile has been taken directly from a '59 so is slimmer than on other reissues. They've painstakingly analysed the hardware for the closest of likeness, using the same moulds as back in the day. They've even used the same glue available in 1959. Body and neck The 2018 reissue sports a solid, lightweight Mahogany body for the most standing comfort you can get out of a real Les Paul. Its neck is also Mahogany, with a gloss natural finish in the historic medium C shape. There's plenty to grip here without being too cumbersome. Meanwhile, the two-piece Maple top is frankly stunning. The grainy streaks are illuminated on the '59 better than anything else Gibson have made. Apart from the original of course. The fretboard is a beautiful warm Rosewood fitted into place with the Hide Glue that was so notoriously difficult to work with because of how sticky it is.  Hardware The Les Paul's hardware looks and feels slightly relic'd. It has the worn-in feel which makes it so great to pick up and play for the first time. This is most evident on the tune-O-matic bridge which has a speckling of wear at the tailpiece. Gibson have gone with the historically accurate medium jumbo frets and even a nylon nut, which no longer feature on modern Gibson guitars. Their Zero-Fret nut is brilliant but just wouldn't fit the aesthetic.  Sound It goes without saying, this Les Paul sings. Two custom humbuckers sit snugly into the LP's large body. Their full-bloodedness for classic tones is immaculate. They have a massive range from weighty lows to sparkling highs.
