The Ibanez RC220 Roadcore guitar is designed to incorporate classic retro design with modern playability. The RC220 features a duo of Core-Tone humbucking pickups designed to provide a strong and assertive sound, accessed via the 3-way toggle switch. Retro Looks With Modern Playability

The Ibanez RC220 Roadcore features a modern asymmetrical double cutaway design with white binding to make a strong impression on stage. Mahogany Body & Maple Neck

The Roadcore RC220 features a solid mahogany body to provide a warm and biting tone, perfect for cutting through the mix and being heard with a band. The maple neck is topped with a treated New Zealand pine fingerboard giving a rare combination that will provide a comfortable playability and resonance. The double cutaway of the RC220's body allows for easy access to the top end of the neck; perfect for playing lead guitar solos.

The neck of the RC220 features a rounded profile which sits nicely in the left hand. With a modern 240mm radius and medium frets, the fingerboard has the balance to allow for both comfortable chords and easy solo playing; especially when bending strings, where the radius will prevent strings from cutting out. The back of the neck is gloss-finished which gives a comfortable feel with a vintage appearance.

 

Strong Tones From Humbucking Pickups

Core Tone pickups are included on this guitar to provide solid rock tones without any hum or extraneous noise. They complement the mahogany body in giving authoritative sounds and are accessed via a 3-way toggle switch to provide different combinations of sound. A single volume and tone control means that this guitar is simple enough to use live and yet provide all the tonal options that you could require. The Sure Grip II knobs feature a nonslip functionality, ensuring smooth and precise control along with a classic aesthetic.
