Fender Limited Edition David Lozeau Art Standard Stratocaster - Rose Tattoo with a Rosewood Fretboard
David Lozeau (pronounced Low-Zo) is an American artist primarily famous for his contemporary styled Day of the Dead inspired artistic characters which are usually skeletons and which have appeared in many magazines and hardcover books. He has also exhibited his paintings and drawings in Fine Art exhibitions winning several awards and has collaborated with Disney, Harley Davidson and now with Fender, who have commissioned him to decorate a small number of Fender Standard Strat guitars with his own unique style of graphics.
The Fender Limited Edition David Lozeau Standard Stratocaster shown here depicts an intricate and ornate Rose Tattoo graphic which has been transposed upon the guitar's double cut-away Alder body. The eye catching Rose Tattoo graphics are sure to turn heads the minute this Stratocaster appears but its also important to remember that aside from the decorative graphics what we also have here is actually a very nice guitar. The neck has been made using Maple with a Rosewood fretboard that has Acrylic dot inlays providing orientation on the fretboard, whilst the body's base colour fades between shades of yellow contrasted by a white scratch plate and black pick-up covers, plastic control knobs, selector switch tip and tremolo arm tip.
Sound is provided by 3 x standard Fender single coil Stratocaster pick-ups that are managed and selected using a volume and two control knobs along with a 5-way blade type sliding pick-up switch. Hardware includes a 6-saddle standard Stratocaster fully adjustable bridge in chrome, Chrome jack insert plate on the front of the body and 6 x contemporary styled smooth action machine heads - also in Chrome.
